St. Monica’s offers the following teen learning opportunities
This is a 2-year program beginning with 6th and 7th graders that assists these young people as they take their first steps of passage away from their families and into their own lives. It concludes its second year with a liturgical celebration of manhood and womanhood.
Our J2A is the core program of the Journey to Adulthood curriculum and blends action and contemplation in teaching young people faithful living. After two years they are given an opportunity for Confirmation and are acknowledged in the community as equipped for new levels of responsibility. They are also invited to take a holy pilgrimage.
This program encourages the older youth (upper high school grades) to take on adult responsibilities in all aspects of parish life and the community. They are challenged to become good stewards of their time, talent and treasure and are guided in a lifelong pilgrimage in their faith.
Middle and High school students meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:30-8:00 p.m. to enjoy fellowship, fun and a spiritual lesson. Food is provided.
