In these times, we are required to be flexible and adaptive. With the Omicron variant, the Bishop has asked that we keep our distance from each other. This includes during the Holy Communion. Specifically, he has asked that we serve communion from serving stations.

I anticipate that this will be a temporary adjustment as this wave passes.

As I reflect on the struggles of the pandemic that we have all endured, I can find it easy to complain and to be frustrated. However, I also see this as an opportunity to pray differently and to ask questions about what we can learn from these experiences. How do we relate to God in all of this? Can our view of God be expanded or at least unsettled enough to grow? I invite these questions to be part of your prayers and meditations and to share them with me freely.

I love you all.

Peace and grace,
Fr. Jonathan
