Dear Friends,

One of the reasons I became an Episcopalian over seven years ago related to the church’s liturgy. The liturgy marks the seasons of our life and faith, and for me, this Celebration of New Ministry marks an enormously important part of my life. For me to be instituted and inducted as your Rector is a privilege. I am thrilled to be here and to be part of your lives. I feel at home with you all, and I look forward to seeing so many of you all this Saturday at 3pm.

I am also so happy about the upcoming Baptism of Aaliyah this Sunday. She is the daughter of Diana Honorat (who serves in the nursery), sister of Chase and Owen (two boys in the Sunday School ministry), and granddaughter of Tom and Donna Cote.

We will also be confirming Sharon Lapierre and receiving Theresa Miller and Marilyn McIntyre.

On Monday, we will have the funeral rite for Barbara Myrick at 11am. She was a pillar of St. Monica’s who is remembered fondly by so many, including her daughter, the Rev. Kathy Schillreff.

While so much is going on in the life of our church and across the world, let us take it one moment at a time. Let us breathe and remember that God is with us through it all – the joy and the pain that we remember and experience through our liturgies.

God bless you.

In Christ,

Fr. Jonathan
