Laura has served as the Parish Administrator at St. Monica’s Episcopal Church since 2020 and as the Bookkeeper since 2021. In both roles, she works to ensure the church operates smoothly and supports the life of its vibrant community. Her love for meeting people and her willingness to help wherever she is needed are evident in her daily work.
With a wide range of skills, Laura manages the many administrative and operational needs of the parish with care and attention.
Raised in the Catholic tradition as a young child, Laura’s faith journey eventually led her beyond a single denomination. Over time she embraced a non-denominational perspective, finding meaning in the variety of ways people experience and express faith. As a former military spouse for nineteen years, she lived in many parts of the world and experienced diverse cultures and church communities. These experiences shaped her understanding of faith and humanity and help her connect with people from all backgrounds.
Outside the office, Laura and her husband, Jim, enjoy life in Florida, especially its warm weather and welcoming community. Their two dogs, Hunter and Mercedes, are frequent and much loved companions who bring joy to Laura’s days at work (and yes, the treats are always provided by her).
Whether you are stopping by the office or reaching out with a question, Laura is ready to help and always happy to connect.
